Tour of Turkey and the road ahead

0

Let me start by saying Tour of Turkey is a great race. It was a good race for us even though we missed a result but I think still, for the upcoming races, it was good preparation. I think stage 5 was our best opportunity maybe, I had great positioning coming into the finish and was third wheel. When the sprint opened I delayed for a second. There was quite a strong headwind on the finish line and it was a little bit of a descent and the guys from behind came quite fast and I just missed the right moment so I found myself back in 20th position haha.

All in all as I say we missed a result in the race but I was feeling really good. Even on the mountain stages I feel like I was climbing really well and I am coming out of Turkey with a great feeling. The most important thing now is to recover. We have a lot of German races coming up in May which are my next goals. It starts tomorrow with Frankfurt. It’s a really hard race but there’s a good chance we can get a good result there and I am really focussed for this race so lets see what happens.
