Johann van Zyl is one of the most promising young riders from South Africa. He is a former double under 23 SA National Road Champion. Johann was ecstatic at signing his first professional contract with Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung in 2013. He has always been a hard working rider and a helper on the team while learning how to develop into a race winner.

In 2014 he got his first chance to be a protected rider at the Race of Norway and showed his potential by making the final selection on every difficult stage. As he continues to mature don’t be surprised if you start to see Johann’s name higher up on the results sheet in 2015.
