Matt seems to have been around forever but the Aussie is still only 28 years of age. As a former winner of the Milan-Sanremo, Matt also ran 2nd at the 2011 World Champs road race. Both these results are testimony to the fact that Matt has all the makings of a classics specialist, all be it with a mighty turn of speed as well.
Coming to MTN-Qhubeka, Matt will form part of a strong core of classics riders where he will be racing to win. Matt will also be key in a number of the sprint finishes, whether he is used in a lead out role or as the protected rider.
