On stage 17 of the 2014 Vuelta a Espana, Eritrean Daniel Teklehaimanot managed to get into a small but strong breakaway group of 5 riders that threatened to make it to the finish before the chasing pack. Daniel was caught with 5km’s to go and the final two escapes in the final 1 kilometer.
