Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung will be lining up in 3 of the Italian one day races this week as the team brings its 2014 season to a close on Sunday.
Each of the 3 classics, Coppa Sabatini, Giro dell Emillia & Gran Premio Bruno Beghelli are all traditional season ending races for most of the European peloton with many riders looking to finish their seasons off on a high note.
In previous years, all 3 races have seen a punchy rider be the most successful as there are enough vertical meters to ensure that bunch sprints are unlikely yet no massive mountains are included which would only favour the pure climbers. These races are ones for the opportunist and therefore provide for some thrilling action. Team MTN-Qhubeka will look to end off the season on a well with a top result in at least one of the 3 upcoming races.
The Team MTN-Qhubeka riders that will rotate for each of the 3 classics will be led by Kristian Sbaragli. Louis Meintjes, Ferekalsi Debesay, Karel Hnik, Tsgabu Grmay, Jacques Janse van Rensburg, Songezo Jim, Adrien Niyonshuti, Dennis van Niekerk and Martin Wesemann will also all form part of the squad that will battle it out over the weekend.
